The country has outstanding scores for broadband coverage. 4G investment has been consistently
growing, and scored 2 points more than last year. User experience in e-government, customer service,
and Internet use all improved over last year. Further development to provide faster broadband and
better connectivity for individuals would accelerate development of high-end technology in the ICT
sector. Saudi Arabia achieved the maximum score for smartphone penetration and use of mobile
broadband connections. More investment for higher adoption would be required to improve the scores
for digitalization in the business sector.
