Brazil ranks 44th in GCI 2017.
The country has rapidly developed its 4G penetration within last two years, which leads to a full score in the mobile broadband assessment. Moreover, there are also continuous improvement on indicators covering 4G coverage, investment in big data and cloud computing. As the fourth largest market of volume of internet subscriptions, it has good potential to achieve a higher score in FTTH and 4G in future years. Users’ experiences in big data, download speed and internet participation has also improved.
