Some Huawei smartphones have an information leak vulnerability due to the lack of permission validation. An attacker tricks a user into installing a malicious application on the smart phone, and the application can read some hardware serial number, which may cause sensitive information leak. (Vulnerability ID: HWPSIRT-2017-11071)
This vulnerability has been assigned a CVE ID: CVE-2018-7938.

Vulnerability details:
Some Huawei smartphones have an information leak vulnerability due to the lack of permission validation. An attacker tricks a user into installing a malicious application on the smart phone, and the application can read some hardware serial number, which may cause sensitive information leak.

The product that supports automatic update will receive a system update prompt. You can install the update to fix the vulnerability.

This vulnerability was discovered by Huawei internal tester.
