Myanmar National Cloud & AI Contest to Hold For the First Time
[Yangon, Myanmar, August 2, 2019] – Myanmar National Cloud & AI Contest is to be held for the first time in Myanmar with aims of nurturing talents and bridging Myanmar to AI world. The contest will be jointly organized by Myanmar Rectors’ Committee, Myanmar Computer Federation (MCF) and Department of Research and Innovation of Ministry of Education, and supported by Huawei Myanmar.
Students from universities around the country will have opportunity to participate in nationwide Cloud and AI innovation contest. Myanmar National Cloud & AI Contest is scheduled to last from July to September, registration between 5th July and 10th August and deadline for submission is 25th August.
The top ten submitted projects will be announced end of August and presentations of each project and final awarding ceremony will be held on 7 September 2019. The project entries can cover any sector of agricultural, education, healthcare, and other business areas. The competition projects can be submitted on Windows, Linux, Android, iOS and any other suitable OS in either English or Myanmar langue.
The co-sponsors of nationwide could and AI innovation contest are CDSG, CMHL, IKBZ, MIT, VANGUARD and Information Matrix. Duwun Media will cover the entire contest as exclusive media partner.
Myanmar’s information and communication technology (ICT) will be promoted through talents of this competition. Recently digital transformation of governments and enterprises is getting faster due emerging technologies such as IoT, 5G, Cloud and AI. Utilization of these new technologies can empower Myanmar to bypass traditional IT stage realizing leapfrog development in economy.
