How is KoçSistem making digital transformation a reality? What are some of the company's key achievements in this journey?

You described data as the new water of the digital age. Can you explain what you meant?

The analogy emphasizes the transformative power of data. Like water, data is abundant, and it enables growth and innovation when harnessed effectively. Even their lifecycles are very similar. You need to collect the data, clean it, store it and turn it into value by processing it in the right way – just as water has been utilized throughout human history.

What are the challenges that AI-driven data brings? And how does that impact data storage?

As the digital economy booms, data continues to grow exponentially every year. Huge-capacity, high-performance, low-latency storage systems have rapidly evolved to meet the growing demands of modern AI workloads. Today, only all-flash intelligent storage systems can cope with this type of data requirement.

How does Huawei's data storage technology help KoçSistem meet its data storage requirements?

As we keep mission-critical data in our data centers, storage is vitally important. We partnered with Huawei to overcome the performance, security, and reliability challenges of our storage systems. After careful evaluation of several products, we decided to install Huawei’s OceanStor Dorado 18000 systems. With its separated data and control planes, we achieved 400K IOPS with a latency less than 1 msec.

You've described the task as "unlocking flash storage's potential." What is that potential? And what's next for the KoçSistem -Huawei partnership?

For critical enterprise workloads with low latency requirements, flash storage is certainly the only solution. Beyond all-flash, we will increasingly see AI-driven intelligent storage systems. We will keep investing in high-performance, reliable, and secure storage systems. Together, KoçSistem and Huawei will continue to identify new opportunities and support the digital transformation journey of their customers.

How well do you feel vendors and customers are adapting to the new AI-reshaped storage architecture?

The challenge lies in developing storage solutions that meet the requirements of AI workloads. Businesses are investing in high-performance, scalable solutions with enhanced data management capabilities. However, the adoption rate varies across sectors, with some more rapid than others in recognizing and capitalizing on the opportunities.

How critical is it for key industries such as healthcare and finance to build reliable data infrastructures in order to help their digital transformation and business needs?

Absolutely critical. In healthcare, the effective treatment of patients, research, and operational effectiveness all depend on complete and trusted data. Similarly, the financial sector relies on accessible, high-performance storage solutions to make decisions, ensure compliance, and provide customer services. Reliable storage solutions provide the solid foundation for these industries to improve their digital transformation in line with their business needs.
