Statistics can't advance further? No way, says this Spark award-winning academic

(Sept. 2024) Meng Cheng, an academic from the Institute of Statistics and Big Data at Renmin University in China, specializes in statistics and applied mathematics research. This video shows why Meng is the winner of a Spark award.  He found ways, using statistics, to solve problems that had plagued industry for a long time, including the frustrating issue of image noise. Statistics is a field full of innovation, Meng's story illustrates.
