Young talent is key to managing climate change

(Dec. 2023) Current world leaders must take bold action to address climate change. But the younger generation will play a pivotal role as well. 

That’s according to Vishnu Ram OV, a mentor and technologist with the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), the specialized United Nations agency for information and communication technologies. 

In China, India, Africa, the US and Europe, young students are energized about the prospect of managing climate change, OV says.

Huawei Editor-in-Chief Gavin Allen spoke with Ram about how the ITU is partnering with start-ups, Big Tech, and other experts to solve the world’s most pressing sustainability challenges.
