Huawei Advanced Driving System, a new approach to smart self-driving cars
In China, Huawei engineers test their Advanced Driving System on crowded Shanghai streets, sharing the road with other drivers who don't always obey right-of-way rules or stop at red lights. In these tough conditions, the AI behind the system "learns" to drive with human traits, so that the car can get to its destination safely and without undue delays. The Making of Smarter Cars is an in-depth documentary launched in May 2023, and filmed over the previous three years, that shows how ADS was created and validated.
