Security Advisory - Information Leak Vulnerability in Some Huawei Products

Some Huawei mobile phones have an information leak vulnerability. Due to improper function error records of some module, an attacker with the access permission may exploit the vulnerability to obtain some information. (Vulnerability ID: HWPSIRT-2019-04053)

This vulnerability has been assigned a Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVE) ID: CVE-2019-5292.

This vulnerability can be exploited only when the following conditions are present:

An attacker obtain the access permission of the target phone.

Vulnerability details:

Some Huawei mobile phones have an information leak vulnerability. Due to improper function error records of some module, an attacker with the access permission may exploit the vulnerability to obtain some information.


The product that supports automatic update will receive a system update prompt. You can install the update to fix the vulnerability.

This vulnerability was discovered by Huawei internal tester.
