HWPSIRT-2023-60613:

This vulnerability can be exploited only when the following conditions are present:

Attackers connect their devices to the PLC network of the home music system host device and ceiling speakers, and use tools to forge or tamper with packets transmitted between the ceiling speakers and the home music system host device.

Technical details:

The log uploading function of Huawei home music system products has a path traversal vulnerability. The path of the file reported by the ceiling speaker is not verified. As a result, attackers can intercept or forge log upload packets and use invalid file paths to exploit this vulnerability. If the vulnerability is successfully exploited, the original file in the system may be deleted abnormally or the permission may be changed, causing system function exceptions.
