Huawei Cloud Stack 8.3 Officially Unveiled, Building On-Prem Large Models for Every Enterprise
[Shanghai, China, September 21, 2023] At HUAWEI CONNECT 2023 held in Shanghai on September 21, Huawei Cloud unveiled Huawei Cloud Stack 8.3. This brand-new version provides over 100 cloud services in 13 categories and offers enhanced capabilities for Pangu Models, industrial Internet, data circulation, and a software development pipeline. It is designed to help government and enterprise customers dive into cloud and accelerate intelligent upgrade.

Building On-premises Large Models for Every Enterprise in One Stop
Huawei Cloud Stack, a hybrid cloud platform, can be used to deploy AI cloud services and key products of large models at on-premises data centers of enterprises. It helps enterprises build on-premises large models in one stop. Huawei Cloud Stack 8.3 provides a comprehensive AI pipeline, covering AI computing power, compute architectures, frameworks, development platforms, development suites, foundation models, and a wide range of professional services, which lowers the barriers to entry when building large models. Huawei Cloud Stack has also leveraged software-hardware synergy to optimize operator fusion and mixed precision. It has improved the training efficiency by 45%. Pangu models have been used by customers across more than 10 industries.
An Industrial Internet Architecture with Five Core Capabilities
Huawei Cloud, backed by their extensive industrial expertise, developed an industrial Internet architecture using Huawei Cloud Stack. The architecture enables industrial cloud-edge synergy, industrial data collection, industrial data convergence, industrial AI Cortex, and industrial application development. It can accommodate a broad spectrum of use cases and boost full-link industrial production from data collection to intelligent applications.
Trusted Data Circulation
Huawei Cloud launched a data circulation solution based on their data governance capabilities and data circulation practices. The solution includes data-AI convergence, blockchain, and privacy computing capabilities provided by Huawei Cloud Stack 8.3. It helps enterprises develop high-quality data products and make data available while invisible. Plus, the Exchange Data Space (EDS) service enables trusted circulation and authorized operations of data. It also enables data sharing within a domain.
At HUAWEI CONNECT 2023, Huawei Cloud and Shanghai Data Group launched joint innovation projects for building distinguished city data spaces. Through the projects, the two parties will enhance collaboration in seeking ways to promote data circulation. They envision high-quality development of the data industry.

Huawei Cloud leveraged powerful processes and tools plus the vast experience of Huawei's Integrated Product Development (IPD) transformation to develop CodeArts, a software development pipeline. Huawei Cloud Stack 8.3 has enriched CodeArts capabilities. It can now provide more than 30 Huawei-developed core capabilities for the full links of software supply from infrastructure and software dependencies to tools.
