Estonian President Kersti Kaljulaid Meets Huawei to Discuss ICT Infrastructure Build-out and Digital Transformation

[Beijing, China, September 20, 2018] Huawei Vice President and board member Peng Zhongyang met with Estonia’s President Kersti Kaljulaid, to discuss ICT infrastructure build-out, digital transformation and to outline Huawei’s plan to enhance collaboration with Estonia.

"Estonia is well known for its development of ICT infrastructure and E-government, which is the basis of digital economy," said Peng Zhongyang. "Huawei has extensive experience in ICT infrastructure build-out and digital transformation and we wish to work with Estonia to explore technology development and industrial digitization. Huawei hopes to cooperate with Estonia to cultivate an ecosystem to help Estonia utilize the digitalization dividend for development of people’s livelihood and economy."

President Kaljulaid team visited Huawei Beijing R&D Center, and listened to the report of Huawei progress on 5G, nation broad band, education, etc. Both sides show strong interest of cooperation on smart city and industrial digitization.
