Huawei Awarded with ‘Best Software-defined Networking Solution’
[Singapore, October 26, 2017] Huawei has been awarded with the ‘Best Software-defined Networking Solution’ at the 2017 NetworkWorld Asia Readers’ Choice Product Excellence Awards. The awards ceremony, organized by Questex Asia, was held at The St. Regis Singapore.

Award winners were determined based on five key criteria: reputation of vendor in the marketplace; features and unique selling points of the solution; widespread acceptance of technology and/or brand; users' feedback on the solution/deployment; as well as durability, scalability and quality of service.
The ‘Best Software-defined Networking Solution’ award recognizes solutions that allow network administrators to have a programmable central control of network traffic and resources without requiring physical access to the network’s hardware devices. Huawei’s Software-defined Networking Solution (SDN) solution features the next-generation SDN controller, Agile Controller 3.0, which is an open system design based on the Open Network Operating System (ONOS) open source platform and Open Daylight controller. The solution also displays easy to use interfaces and brings significant benefits such as reducing the time-to-market of new services.
The Agile Controller centralizes unit management and control of physical and virtual resources of the network infrastructure, which supports multiple overlay and underlay networking scenarios based on software and hardware network devices. It also provides automatic network resources based on demands, intelligent optimization, and visualizes operations and maintenance - enabling administrators to build service-oriented features for more dynamic scheduling of network services.
