MTN and China Mobile (Zhejiang) win Global Telecom Awards
Awards showcase Huawei’s work in accelerating CSPs digital transformation
[London, UK, Nov 17, 2016] Nigerian and South African mobile operator MTN and China Mobile (Zhejiang) have been named winners of prestigious Global Telecoms Awards (GLOTEL) by Telecoms.com and Informa. (The projects exemplify how Huawei is enabling CSPs’ digital business transformation. The annual Global Telecoms (GLOTEL) Awards recognize innovation and excellence in the global telecoms industry and are open to any company operating in the telecoms industry worldwide.
MTN won the Digital Content Service of the Year award against stiff competition for its Music+ service in Nigeria.

China Mobile (Zhejiang) won the Best Digital Transformation Project award for their program to provide API’s that expose their mobile and network service capabilities.
“A critical part of the Digital transformation of China Mobile has been the establishment of an API exposure platform to enable B2B2X services,” said Qian Junbo, Director of Internet and Customer Response Center, China Mobile Group Zhejiang Co., Ltd. “This platform, supported by Huawei, has been serving our partners and over 50 million subscribers in China’s Zhejiang Province since 2014. To date, the platform has provided over 200 API’s which are called over 2 billion times. It has delivered innovative new revenue streams to Zhejiang Mobile and enables innovative business and consumer services for over 100 partners such as Tencent and Xinhua NET.”.
