President Grabar-Kitarović remarked that Huawei's leading technologies and emphasis on R&D are very impressive. It’s very happy to see that Huawei has grown rapidly in Croatia. She hopes that Croatia and Huawei can cooperate in more areas, especially in helping cultivate ICT talent, which means a lot to Croatia.

Huawei Vice President Gong Yuanxing said, "Huawei appreciates the favorable business and investment environment in Croatia. We are ready to help Croatia become part of the Europe 2020 agenda by establishing a leading future-oriented ICT ecosystem. We will also work with the Croatian government and local institutions to run the Seeds for the Future program to cultivate ICT talent in Croatia."

Other Huawei technologies that President Grabar-Kitarović experienced at the Beijing Research Center include 5G, LTE-M, heterogeneous networks, and green data centers. Since entering Croatia in 2006, Huawei has become a strategic partner of leading Croatian telecommunications companies such as T-Hrvatski Telekom and Tele2. Huawei's rapid growth in the nation is accompanied by its commitment to give back to society by, for example, sponsoring training for young people in China through the Seeds for the Future program and supporting local education. Huawei proactively works with the Croatian government to develop Croatia's ICT industry, contributing to critical areas such as national broadband, spectrums, and the ICT-enabled transformation of industry.
