Huawei Cloud powers a fleet of 100 unmanned trucks at Yimin mine in Inner Mongolia

(July 2025) In China, a mining revolution is underway. Huaneng, XCMG, and Huawei have rolled out the world's first fleet of driverless electric mining trucks that are built to operate in the extreme cold. This video shows how Huawei Cloud enables this breakthrough using cutting-edge AI, 5G-A, and cloud-computing collaboration to transform coal mining into a safer, cleaner, and smarter industry.

Huawei Cloud's intelligent AI algorithms are optimized for open-pit mining. They enable precise sensing for autonomous vehicles and efficient collaboration on the cloud, which is uniquely suited to accelerating the coal mining industry's transition from manual to intelligent operations. It’s a shining example of how digital and intelligent technology can bring efficiency, sustainability, and resilience to tackle industrial challenges and transformation.
