A people’s revolution in a post-digital age? This technologist says yes

(March 2024) With tech having infiltrated every corner of our lives, what would a post-digital world even look like?

“A post-digital society doesn’t mean we don’t use digital,” says Antonio Grasso, an entrepreneur, technologist, and author of a book on that very subject. “On the contrary, digital will become intertwined with our lives. It will be like electric power, or the telephone. We won’t notice its presence; we’ll notice its absence.”

Having tech become inseparable from modern life will change society on an individual level. “Evolving technology will give us more power,” Grasso told Huawei Editor-in-Chief Gavin Allen at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. “I envision that people will have more control over their data, their privacy, their money, their work.”
