In this report, we examined smart transportation from an innovative perspective and divide the topic into a few sub-topics. Based on the market size and the demands for mobile network, we have identified four major opportunities for MNOs, including telematics service with UBI and Fleet Management, smart parking service based on the NB-IoT network technology, Emergency Service Network based on LTE network and enhanced ADAS based on LTE-V or 5G network. In each vertical market, we provided case studies cover different models of engagement by operators, ranging from data pipe to integrated solution providers. Based on these analyses, we proposed new positioning and practical guide for MNOs.
