Building a Healthy Telecommunication Ecosystem Together

[Shenzhen, China, Dec 10, 2015] Huawei announced today that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on OSS with Anite. The MOU allows Anite to access Huawei’s OSS interfaces under OSSii, ensuring their testing product achieve more accurate test result for Huawei’s network infrastructure OSS equipment.

The signing of this MOU will benefit the integration of the test tool, and also will improve the multi-vendor capability of Huawei’s OSS solution such as SingleSON.

“Huawei always seeks opportunities to work with industry partners with an attitude of open and cooperation,” said Mr. Jiang Wangcheng, the President of Huawei Wireless Network SingleOSS product line, “We believe that the cooperation with Anite will help improve the accuracy and integration of the test tools. This would eventually improve the operator’s network performance. We hope to have more and more opportunities for cooperation with independent software companies so as to build a more prosperous industry.”

Operations Support Systems interoperability initiative (OSSii) was established through joint efforts by Ericsson, Huawei and Nokia. It was conceived as a means to enable OSS interoperability between different OSS vendors’ and their equipment. Operations Support Systems integrate to a variety of telecom network technologies from several equipment vendors as well as the telecom operator business systems, making the integration of OSS complex and costly. The objectives of OSSii include enabling easier interoperability between OSS systems, reducing overall OSS integration costs, and enabling shorter time-to-market. Up until now, there are 9 members who have joined the OSSii.

Anite is a leading supplier of test and measurement solutions to the international wireless market. It provides testing, measurement, optimization and analytics systems to major manufacturers of mobile devices, chipsets and network equipment, mobile network operators, regulatory authorities, and independent test houses.
