CeBIT 2015 Live: VfL Wolfsburg and Huawei Announced Partnership Chinese Player Gives Cheer for Huawei Booth

[Hannover, Germany, March 18, 2015] Huawei and the Bundesliga football club VfL Wolfsburg announced they reached a technical partnership at this year's CeBIT, one of the world's top ICT events, held in Hannover, Germany.

Huawei will provide a range of best-in-class Wi-Fi access services for Wolfsburg's Volkswagen Arena with its leading Agile Stadium Solution. Pierre Littbarski, a 1990 FIFA World Cup winner and current Head of Scouting for Wolfsburg, and Zhang Xizhe, a Chinese football player currently at the club, came to Huawei's Agile Stadium Booth at the exhibition to announce their cooperation with Huawei. As an official partner of CeBIT 2015, China has brought many exotic Chinese elements to this grand ICT event. The arrival of Zhang also attracted the eyes of fans and the media. There is no doubt that Huawei's exhibition area is drawing the most attention on the first day of CeBIT 2015.

Joerg Karpinski, Sales Director, Huawei Enterprise Germany, and Sebastian Carlin, Sponsoring & Sales National for Wolfsburg, as well as Tim Jägeler, Sponsoring & Sales International for Wolfsburg, announced the technical partnership together. "Wolfsburg is a vibrant football team and one of the strongest competitors for the Bundesliga championship. There are many fans of Wolfsburg in China. "Huawei's Agile Stadium Solution allows fans inside the stadium to access the Wi-Fi network anytime, anywhere, significantly enhancing their game watching experience. This solution can also help the stadium operator to increase its revenue."

The arrival of Zhang has drawn much attention from both fans and the media. Fans at the exhibition waited in line to gain Zhang's autograph. Many Chinese fans expressed that Huawei has given them a huge surprise at this year's CeBIT.
