With climate change and biodiversity loss continuing to threaten the longevity and sustainable development of humanity and our planet, we believe that digital technology is pivotal to mitigating environmental degradation and biodiversity loss on a global scale. Technologies such as 5G, cloud, AI, big data and IoT play an increasingly critical role in protecting our planet and our future.
In 2020, Huawei and IUCN launched the Tech4Nature partnership to protect biodiversity and natural ecosystems through scientific and technological innovation. Since then, we have learned much in terms of developing technology-driven solutions to help safeguard our home.
At the summit, we will share our insights from the Tech4Nature journey with partners from international organizations, governments, telecom operators, scientific research institutions, and NGOs, and explore how we can work together to better protect nature with technology.
