A Huawei PC product has a vulnerability in improper interface access control. Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may cause SMM leaks. Attackers can exploit this vulnerability to boot the UEFI shell and cause memory leaks.(Vulnerability ID:HWPSIRT-2023-64955)

This vulnerability can be exploited only when the following conditions are present:

The size of the source buffer is altered.

Technical details:

Due to improper interface access control in AmdPspP2CmboxV2, an attacker can control the source buffer to point to the SMM. Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may lead to SMM leaks. Attackers can exploit this vulnerability to boot the UEFI shell and cause memory leaks.

The product that supports automatic update will receive a system update prompt. You can install the update to fix the vulnerability.
