This vulnerability can be exploited only when the following conditions are present:

An improperly-sized memory buffer is crafted.

Technical details:

A Huawei PC product is vulnerable to improper check for unusual or exceptional conditions. This vulnerability is caused by incorrect check on the size of the memory buffer. Attackers can exploit this vulnerability through local access to cause OS service exceptions.

The product that supports automatic update will receive a system update prompt. You can install the update to fix the vulnerability.

HWPSIRT-2023-25233:

The vulnerability was reported by an external researcher under the Bug Bounty Program.
