There is a file inclusion vulnerability in the implementation of the AJP protocol in Apache Tomcat. Attackers can send malicious AJP requests to exploit this vulnerability. Successful exploit could cause the remote attacker read any file in a specified directory without authorization. (Vulnerability ID: HWPSIRT-2020-02140)

This vulnerability has been assigned a Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVE) ID: CVE-2020-1938.

The vulnerability classification has been performed by using the CVSSv3 scoring system (http://www.first.org/cvss/specification-document).

This vulnerability can be exploited only when the following conditions are present:

The attacker could gain access the affected network.

Vulnerability details:

Attackers can send malicious AJP requests to exploit this vulnerability. Successful exploit could cause the remote attacker read any file in a specified directory without authorization.


Users can disable the AJP protocol port to defend against the vulnerability. 

The procedure is as follows and users are advised to contact Huawei TAC for further guidance: Comment out <Connector port="8009" protocol="AJP/1.3"redirectPort="8443" /> in the conf/server.xml configuration file. (The configuration file such as port number varies according to the product.)
