China Mobile and Huawei Win Two GLOMO Awards at MWC Shanghai 2026 for the Innovative RAN Intelligence Solution

[Shanghai, China, June 25, 2026] At MWC Shanghai 2026, the China Mobile & Huawei for RAN Intelligence soluition won two top industry honors: Best AI-Powered Network Solution and Best Mobile Innovation for Climate Action in Asia.

China Mobile and Huawei Win Two GLOMO Awards

The Best AI-Powered Network Solution award recognizes outstanding practices that deeply integrate AI with networks to improve network performance, capacity, and energy efficiency, and reduce operational costs. The Best Mobile Innovation for Climate Action in Asia award honors mobile digital innovations that balance network performance with green and low-carbon initiatives. The RAN Intelligence solution, with its intelligent capabilities in wireless O&M, optimization, energy saving, and experience assurance, as well as its excellent implementation in the entire network service process of China Mobile, fully meets the core criteria of both awards and has become a benchmark for intelligent transformation in the mobile communications industry in Asia.

This solution leverages cutting-edge AI technologies such as digital twin, and the industry's first efficient agent-to-agent interaction protocol A2A-T to enable secure collaboration between China Mobile's RAN agent and Huawei's RAN intelligence capabilities. The solution introduces a multi-model framework that includes open-source and Huawei-developed models and fully harnesses the strengths of each through joint training and collaboration, significantly enhancing overall performance. The solution also builds the industry's first carrier-grade hallucination-elimination mechanism, which eliminates endogenous and exogenous hallucinations and hallucination propagation based on technologies such as digital twin, achieving carrier-grade reliability.

Currently, China Mobile and Huawei have jointly implemented innovative projects, successfully piloting RAN Intelligence in six provinces, including Guangdong, Shanghai, Anhui, Fujian, Jiangsu, and Henan. These projects cover 200,000 sites and 1 million cells, and empower more than 2,000 network engineers. With in-depth integration of AI technologies into China Mobile's entire network production process, remarkable results are achieved in instant network optimization, energy saving, and user experience assurance. We have boosted the automatic closure rate for poor-QoE network tickets to 15%, achieved an additional energy-saving gain of 5.5% across the entire network, and achieved a service provisioning accuracy of 90%.
