The explosive growth of AI presents immense opportunities for the mobile industry while demanding multi-dimensional network capabilities. In Shanghai, China, Huawei and its operator partners jointly developed an integrated land-and-water network using 5G-A technology, achieving 3.1 Gbps in downlink and 260 Mbps in uplink. By leveraging AI glasses, users on Huangpu River cruises can enjoy AI-guided tours, expanding the horizons of mobile AI scenarios. In Hangzhou, China, the deployment of the FA SUL 5G-A GigaUplink network has significantly boosted uplink rates and coverage stability, with peak rate exceeding 1 Gbps. This provides robust support for seamless operation of mobile AI applications like HD live streaming, AI agents, and embodied intelligence, unlocking new commercial opportunities. In Saudi Arabia, the deployment of 600 MHz low-band NR has established city-level mobile AI infrastructure, greatly enhancing network coverage and uplink capacity while effectively reducing latency to enable mobile AI applications and support the realization of Saudi Vision 2030.

Eric Zhao, Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer of Wireless Solution, Huawei, said that this award is a strong recognition of the project's value from the industry, and more importantly, a testament to Huawei's innovative practices and collaborative efforts in the mobile AI network domain. Through this project, we have further clarified the pivotal role of mobile network construction in fostering a thriving mobile AI ecosystem. Specifically, key innovations such as GigaUplink and the U6GHz spectrum will fully unleash the potential of 5G-A networks while supporting a seamless evolution toward 6G. This will unlock new growth opportunities for operators and provide a robust connectivity foundation to accelerate the arrival of an intelligent world.

MWC Barcelona 2026 will be held from March 2 to March 5 in Barcelona, Spain. During the event, Huawei will showcase its latest products and solutions at stand 1H50 in Fira Gran Via Hall 1.

The era of agentic networks is now approaching fast, and the commercial adoption of 5G-A at scale is gaining speed. Huawei is actively working with carriers and partners around the world to unleash the full potential of 5G-A and pave the way for the evolution to 6G. We are also creating AI-Centric Network solutions to enable intelligent services, networks, and network elements (NEs), speeding up the large-scale deployment of level-4 autonomous networks (AN L4), and using AI to upgrade our core business. Together with other industry players, we will create leading value-driven networks and AI computing backbones for a fully intelligent future.
