Huawei Launches Maxwell Platform and X2 Antenna for Efficient 5G Deployment
[Lisbon, Portugal, October 24, 2022] At the Global Antenna Technology & Industry Forum 2022 last week,Huawei launched the latest antenna solutions for the next phase of 5G antenna evolution, including the Maxwell platform and X2 antenna series. The new solutions further improve antenna integration and configuration capabilities, helping carriers deploy 5G more efficiently.

5G evolution is accelerating, and users' demand for ubiquitous high-speed mobile data experience is increasing. Deep coverage and high capacity are essential to deliver an ultimate 5G experience. The Maxwell platform is equipped with an upgraded version of the Frequency Selective Isolating and Penetrating Technology (FreSIP 2.0) to achieve full view electromagnetic transparency of the passive antenna. This enhances BladeAAU with more powerful Massive MIMO configurations, allowing carriers to efficiently deploy high configuration sites using all-in-one sub 6GHz solutions.
The X2 antenna is the first four low band array antenna, using innovations such as foldable arrays, sector beam deflection and 3D adjustable design. With a doubled configuration given the same size, the antenna meets the requirements of carriers in multiple scenarios, such as antenna sharing and low band 4T4R PIM Free deployment, and helps to deepen the coverage of 5G network.
The Global Antenna Technology & Industry Forum is the largest communication platform in the antenna industry and has been held for 11 consecutive years, starting from 2012. This year, participants from global carriers and third-party industry organizations gathered in Lisbon to discuss strategies for breaking through deployment, aperture and energy efficiency boundaries.
Eric Zhao, the President of Huawei Antenna Business Unit, emphasized: " The development of antenna technologies plays an increasingly important role in network performance improvement, network deployment, and network evolution. Huawei remains committed to developing customer-centric and continues to innovate based on 5G construction requirements, to help carriers achieve 5G business success, by constructing high-quality antennas that feature multiple arrays, high manufacturing precision, high energy efficiency, and high integration."
