Huawei Sponsored ICPC to Successfully Host the Graph Mining Challenge

[Online conference, July 21, 2020] The ICPC World Finals Day Zero took place on June 27. The event has attracted over 60,000 international viewers. This online activity has been jointly supported by top academic institutions and enterprise organizations around the world. Huawei has cooperated with ICPC to jointly host the online Graph Mining Challenge on the Codeforces platform. This challenge has lasted until July 4, 2020, involving over 10,000 talented participants, pursuing their excellence in programming and algorithm from 69 countries.

The most attractive point of this fierce and intensive competition is the fact that a real world industry problem has been presented to the global community of programming and algorithm enthusiasts as a challenge topic. Huawei experts from all over the world shared their knowledge about mathematical algorithms related to 5G communications, AI, and graph mining technologies, which was very well received by the audience.

The International Collegiate Programming Contest (ICPC) is considered as the Olympics of Programming Competitions because it is the largest and most prestigious programming contest in the world. Tracing its roots back to 1970, ICPC involves over 60,000 university participants per year and covers over 115 countries and regions. More than 400,000 ICPC alumni have become the core elites in high-tech companies, academic research institutions, startups and other organizations.
