Consumers need more bandwidth-consuming applications and extreme high speed network. Enterprises are looking for more complex applications and more integrated solutions from their venders. Courtney Munroe, GVP of WW Telecommunications, Mobility & Network Infrastructure of IDC, sees SDN & NFV will provide significant cost saving and efficiency, and provide flexibility and proactive management of the network. Also, over the next few years, 5G will help CSPs meet the tremendous traffic growth in the mobile segment.
Rather than theories, Courtney has seen actual use cases from Huawei in the SDN & NFV field. He believes this is a huge progress of Huawei’s SoftCOM strategy.
