Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd. welcomes You to HUAWEI CONNECT 2024. These terms and conditions ("Terms") represent an agreement entered into between You and Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd., its subsidiaries and affiliates concerning HUAWEI CONNECT 2024.

These Terms apply to the website located at https://www.huawei.com/en/events/huaweiconnect , and all associated sites or apps linked to https://www.huawei.com/en/events/huaweiconnect by Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd., its parent, subsidiaries and affiliates concerning HUAWEI CONNECT 2024 (collectively, the "Website"). The Website is the property of Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd. and its licensors. These Terms set out important information regarding Your rights, obligations and restrictions that may apply. If you are a person without or with limited capacity for civil conduct, you can only use this Website under the supervision of your parent or legal guardian. Otherwise, Huawei reserves the right to freeze, close, or delete Your account to the extent permitted by law.

Huawei reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to change, modify, add, or remove portions of these Terms or certain content on the Website, at any time, and without notice. All amended terms shall automatically and immediately take effect upon being posted on the Website, and thereafter apply to all access to HUAWEI CONNECT 2024 and the use of any websites, apps, or services relevant to HUAWEI CONNECT 2024. Information on this Website may not be updated and mistakes may not be corrected quickly due to technical limitations. You confirm that You understand this situation and will not hold Huawei accountable for legal liabilities. You shall not use this Website or any content related to HUAWEI CONNECT 2024 for any illegal purposes or for any purposes prohibited by this agreement. Such purposes include illegal acts and infringing upon the rights of Huawei or others.

Although links to third party websites may be contained in this Website for Your convenience, Huawei shall not be responsible for any content of any such websites. You might need to review and agree to applicable rules of use when using such websites. In addition, a link to third-party website does not imply that Huawei endorses the site or the products or services referenced therein.

4. Badges

HUAWEI CONNECT 2024 is open to attendees 18 years of age and older. You shall show Your confirmation letter (QR code), Your business card, and Your valid photo ID to redeem Your badge at a Check-in Counter. The badge is provided by the HUAWEI CONNECT 2024 Registration Office and owned by HUAWEI CONNECT 2024. It is not transferable. Borrowed, duplicated, or reprinted badges are ineligible as admission passes. The HUAWEI CONNECT 2024 Event Team has the right to confiscate such badges.

5. Intellectual Property

All text, graphics, user interfaces, visual interfaces, photographs, trademarks, logos, sounds, music, artwork and computer code (collectively, "Content"), contained within the Website and HUAWEI CONNECT 2024, is owned, controlled, or licensed by Huawei, and is protected by trade dress, copyrights, patents, and trademark laws, as well as various other intellectual property rights and anti-unfair competition laws. Unless otherwise stated herein, no part of the Website, HUAWEI CONNECT 2024, or Content may be copied, reproduced, republished, uploaded, posted, publicly displayed, encoded, translated, transmitted, or distributed in any way to any medium for publication or distribution, or for any commercial purposes, without Huawei's express prior written consent.

6. Photography Terms and Conditions

You understand and agree that Huawei and its agent may conduct interviews, take photographs, and/or make video recordings at HUAWEI CONNECT 2024. For details, see the Privacy Policy for HUAWEI CONNECT 2024. You hereby grant Huawei and its agent the right to use, copy, distribute, exhibit, broadcast, transmit, perform, publish, and display Your personal data, including but not limited to Your image and/or photograph, voice, and content of any interview, with or without Your name, in any media, including in print and electronically, worldwide, and for any legal purposes including but not limited to publicity, marketing, and advertising. You agree that Huawei is the exclusive copyright owner of these Personas and agree that You shall have no right of review or approval, no claim to compensation, no claim arising out of or resulting from the use of Your personal data in any manner, and agree to release and hold Huawei and its agent harmless for any and all such uses.

Aside from legitimate and reasonable purposes, such as news reports and media communications, You are prohibited from doing any of the following for commercial purposes without Huawei's prior written consent: (1) use any device to capture images, sound, live stream, upload, or rebroadcast speakers, presentations, or their materials at HUAWEI CONNECT 2024; and (2) publish, license, or in any way disseminate recordings made or photographs taken within the HUAWEI CONNECT 2024 venue of any persons or material, or enable others to do so. Under any circumstance You must obtain prior consent from Huawei before live streaming. You hereby understand and agree that Huawei reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to remove You from HUAWEI CONNECT 2024 for violating the above items without assuming any liability.

7. Code of Conduct

You may volunteer or be freely invited to participate in demonstrations or exhibitions during the course of HUAWEI CONNECT 2024, and such participation shall be entirely at Your own risk. Huawei does not require You to take part in such demonstrations or exhibitions. Huawei is not responsible or liable for any injuries, damages, or losses You may suffer as a consequence of participating in such demonstrations or exhibitions, other than to the extent that such injuries, damages, or losses are caused by Huawei's gross negligence or willful misconduct.

8. Force Majeure

For the purpose of these Terms, Force Majeure refers to an impediment beyond Huawei's control. Huawei could not have been expected to take the impediment and its effects upon its ability to perform into account at the time of the conclusion of the Terms; and Huawei could not reasonably have avoided or overcome the Force Majeure or its effects. Force Majeure includes but is not limited to earthquakes, floods, typhoons, fires, wars, acts of terrorism, embargo, diseases or pandemics, quarantine restriction, the propagation of viruses, airline cancellations, strikes, lock-outs, and failures by third parties to deliver products or services. In the event of Force Majeure, Huawei will not be held responsible for any damages, increased costs, or losses which You may incur due to such failures or delays of performances. Huawei will take appropriate measures to minimize or remove the effects of Force Majeure.

9. Limitation of Liability and Indemnity Agreement

For the purpose of these Terms, Force Majeure refers to an impediment beyond Huawei's control. Huawei could not have been expected to take the impediment and its effects upon its ability to perform into account at the time of the conclusion of the Terms; and Huawei could not reasonably have avoided or overcome the Force Majeure or its effects. Force Majeure includes but is not limited to earthquakes, floods, typhoons, fires, wars, acts of terrorism, embargoes, diseases or pandemics, quarantine and control, the propagation of viruses, airline cancellations, strikes, lock-outs, and failures by third parties to deliver products or services. In the event of Force Majeure, Huawei will not be held responsible for any damages, increased costs, or losses which You may incur due to such failures or delays of performances. Huawei will take appropriate measures to minimize or remove the effects of Force Majeure. Once the effects of Force Majeure have dissipated, Huawei will resume fulfilling obligations under these Terms.

9. Limitation of Liability and Indemnity Agreement

By registering for or attending HUAWEI CONNECT 2024, You hereby agree that You understand and agree to release and hold harmless Huawei, its agents, and contractors from any alleged or actual liability, claims, actions, lawsuits, damages, or losses, including reasonable attorney fees arising or resulting from Your participation in HUAWEI CONNECT 2024 and supporting activities, violation of these Terms, violation of any laws or regulations, or violation of any proprietary or privacy rights, including but not limited to property damage and personal injury, whether foreseeable or unforeseeable.

If You fail to comply with any of these Terms or any other reasonable requests made by Huawei, Huawei reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to remove You from HUAWEI CONNECT 2024. Once You are removed from HUAWEI CONNECT 2024, You shall not be entitled to any refund of prepaid fees, travel or hotel costs, or any other expenses.

You hereby acknowledge and agree that Huawei and its agent have no control over independent suppliers who provide accommodations and other services as a part of HUAWEI CONNECT 2024. Accordingly, You agree to release Huawei and its agent from any and all liabilities, losses, or injuries arising or resulting from the actions or omissions of independent suppliers in connection with HUAWEI CONNECT 2024, or from any other causes beyond the control of Huawei and its agent.

Except where prohibited by law, in no event will Huawei be liable to You for any indirect, consequential, exemplary, incidental, or punitive damages, including but not limited to lost profits, even if Huawei has been advised of the possibility of such damages.

10. Termination

The Terms shall take effect as of the Effective Date of Your acceptance and shall expire upon the conclusion of HUAWEI CONNECT 2024. Parties' rights and obligations, which by their nature would continue beyond the termination or expiration of the Terms, shall include but shall not be limited to those contained in intellectual property rights, photography terms & conditions, limitation of liability & indemnity agreement, and any other parts of the Terms which expressly or by implication shall survive termination for any reasons or expiration. Huawei reserves the right to terminate these Terms or prevent you from entering the HUAWEI CONNECT 2024 venue with immediate effect by written notice to Your registered e-mail address, at any time. In the event that Huawei terminates these terms unilaterally or prevents You from entering the venue, Huawei will refund Your prepaid fees, provided You are not liable for them.

11. Disclaimers

The Content contained on the Website and Products and Services ordered through the Website are provided to You "as is". Huawei does not provide any express warranties or guarantees. Huawei excludes any implied warranties or merchantability. Huawei does not promise that the website or any content will be error-free or uninterrupted, that any defects will be corrected, or that Your use of the website will provide specific results.

12. Entire Agreement

These Terms represent the entire understanding between Huawei and You concerning HUAWEI CONNECT 2024 hereof and supersede all prior discussions, agreements, and representations, whether oral or written, express or implied. However, there may be legal notices listed on other areas of the Website that relate to Content and the ordering of Products and Services, all of which will, together with these Terms, govern Your knowledge of Content and the ordering of Products and Services.

13. Dispute Resolution

All disputes, controversies, or claims arising in connection with or in relation to the Terms of negotiation, performance, breach, existence or validity, whether contractual or tortious, shall be exclusively governed by the laws of the People's Republic of China, without reference or regard to principles of conflicts of law and submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent court of Longgang District in Shenzhen, Guangdong for lawsuit.

14. General

Huawei is not responsible for any losses or damages that are unforeseeable or beyond Huawei's control. Losses or damages are foreseeable if they are an obvious consequence of a breach of contract by Huawei, or if they were contemplated by You and Huawei at the time the Parties entered into the Terms.

You hereby understand and agree that pursuant to safety and other regulations, certain activities, presentations, seminars, or sub-events ("Sub-events") within HUAWEI CONNECT 2024 will only be open to designated visitors. Without competent authorization or invitation, You shall not be permitted entry and Huawei reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to limit or deny access to any part of the HUAWEI CONNECT 2024 venue to any entity or individual.

No delay on the part of Huawei in exercising any of its rights hereunder or failure to exercise these rights, nor the acquiescence or knowledge thereto shall operate as a release or waiver with the exception of specific instances in which it is expressly given. None of the parts, conditions, or provisions of the Terms shall be held to have been changed, waived, varied, modified or altered by any act or knowledge of You.

YOU WARRANT AND GUARANTEE THAT YOU ARE 18 YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER AND HAVE CAREFULLY READ ALL ABOVE TERMS. YOU SIGNED THE TERMS FREELY AND VOLUNTARILY AND ARE CAPABLE AND LEGALLY QUALIFIED TO AGREE TO BE BOUND BY THESE TERMS AND TO INDEMNIFY HUAWEI FOR ANY VIOLATION OF THESE TERMS.
