——Li LinXian, Manager of Enterprise Information Support Center, China Mobile Tianjin China Mobile Tianjin will continue to improve OTN coverage, looking to offer two optical nodes per 10,000 people. It will provide better experience for enterprise and develop a solid all-optical base for a smart city.

——Mario Zhang, Vice President of Transmission Network Product Line, Huawei The key to All-Optical Metro is extending OTN to the Edge of network, connecting homes, companies, mobile user, or campus directly. This provides one-hop to cloud, guarantees bandwidth, lowers the latency, and optimizes availability.

——Maxim Kuschnerov, Director of the Optical and Quantum Communications Laboratory, Huawei Spectral efficiency is critical to improving backbone capacity. Super 400/800G & Super C+L can improve backbone capacity to lower the cost per bit.

——Claudio Lugari, Huawei Transmission Network Solutions Director OTN to metro edge can save network TCO by providing multiple service access, easy deployment at all scenarios, and lots of fiber saving. The E2E OXC can reduce the network failure risk by more than 30%.

——Paolo Volpato, Telco Cloud Solutions Director, Huawei A lot of enterprises are moving to the cloud, which requires a good network infrastructure to connect the datacenter to the cloud. The optical network should have more automation capabilities, better providing agile operations and autonomy. It should also shorten the time to get connected for getting the data faster, increasing the bandwidth and decresing the volume of devices.

——Christopher Janz, Technical VP of Optical Systems Competency Centre, Huawei Canada A new class of premium customer services that we call “Zero-X”,for zero-touch, zero-wait and zero-fault, represent the significant service and revenue impacts of major advances toward optical network autonomy.
