TelBru executives discuss the operator’s nationwide FTTH rollout and what it means in Brunei's overall plans for economic development.
According to CEO David Kay, “TelBru is Brunei’s largest telecommunications company; it has been dominant in the fixed side of telecommunications, for both broadband and telephony for a number of years. As far as the country is concerned, FTTH is a very important project. Brunei is always interested in being at the forefront of business and operations in the region, and in order to do that, to realize its dreams and hopes, it needs a number of things in place, and I think one of the fundamental ones is a very strong and stable and reliable telecommunications network. Capable of providing all of the latest products and services, not only to retail customers, but to business, to enable business to flourish. FTTH gives you much higher levels of customer satisfaction, because it will provide a much more stable network and reliability, and the faster speeds of course to cope with ever increasing number of downloads that the customers want these days.”
