Seeds for the Future 2025

Huawei's Seeds for the Future program is the company's flagship CSR program that aims to develop ICT talents globally. With an ever-increasing emphasis on innovation and technological advancements, this program offers a unique platform where young minds can exchange ideas, network with international peers, and gain valuable insights into the ICT sector that will shape their future and promote their participation in the digital community. Since its launch in 2008, more than 19,000 students have participated from 142 countries. The program has been endorsed by more than 420 senior officials and heads of states.
Huawei has been operating in Uzbekistan for more than 25 years, working closely with telecom operators, public sector, industries and educational institutions. Last year Seeds for the Future celebrated its 10th Anniversary in Uzbekistan hosting 150 students from 14 countries of Middle East and Central Asia.

For 11 years 177 students became participants of this flagman initiative:
  • 50 Uzbekistan students took part in the program in China (before 2020)
  • 82 students - in hybrid format in Tashkent office during pandemic time (2020-2022)
  • 15 students participated in ME&CA Seeds for the Future regional program in Qatar and UAE (2023)
  • 15 students participated in ME&CA Seeds for the Future regional program in Uzbekistan (2024)
This year Seeds for the Future project was held in China welcoming 10 outstanding Uzbekistan students from six local universities: Tashkent University of Information Technologies, Inha University in Tashkent, Amiti University in Tashkent, Turin Polytechnic University in Tashkent, University of World Economy and Diplomacy and "New Uzbekistan" University. The program participants were engaged in an intensive ICT course program, interactions with Huawei experts, visits to technologically advanced Chinese companies, and intercultural exchanges with students from 19 countries around the world.

The first phase of the program took place from October 19 to 22 at the Huawei training center campus in Dongguan, where the main focus was participation in a series of master classes and lectures on the development of Artificial Intelligence technologies and practical cases of AI applications; the implementation of Cloud technologies in the era of AI, as well as the evolution of fifth-generation networks from 5G and 5.5G to 6G. Huawei trainers conducted lectures in an interactive format, allowing students to reinforce their knowledge through group discussions and tasks solving. Also, the students visited the picturesque campus of Huawei, which features intelligent management based on previously demonstrated technologies.

The educational program continued in Shenzhen city, where participants not only immersed themselves in the atmosphere of a high-tech megapolis but also took part in intercultural exchange events. In Huawei's exhibition halls, students were introduced to renewable and digital energy technologies, intelligent solutions for electric vehicles, as well as smart gadgets and devices from the Huawei Device subdivision. The participants visited high-tech Chinese companies. Through learning and mutual exchange, participants gained a better understanding of advanced technologies, built more strengths for their future growth, and improved their competitiveness in the job market.

Over the year, Seeds for the Future programme in China has brought together 703 students from 93 countries.

Understanding the importance of talent cultivation in ICT sector, Huawei continuously provides opportunities for future specialists to enhance their knowledge and showcase their potential on the international stage. Currently, registration is ongoing for the large-scale ICT competition ICT Competition 2025-2026, which is open to the students from all universities in Uzbekistan who are interested in information and communication technologies. A series of programs and educational projects are also implemented for ICT industry professionals, partners, and subcontracting organizations, including the activities of the recently opened training center for professional development in TUIT.
