Huge collaboration in 5G from Türk Telekom and Huawei

Türk Telekom and Huawei signed the TurkTech 2.0 MoU, which includes cooperation in 5G, announced at Mobile World Congress. Two companies will work together on 5G-ready networks and quality network applications to develop industrial 5G applications and improve the ecosystem with a strategic vision. After the signing ceremony, Smart Tractor Systems, one of the Agriculture 4.0 applications, developed in Turkey with TARNET and 5G tests of HADO, the augmented reality game have been launched.

Türk Telekom, Turkey's leading information and communication technology company, continues its efforts and investments to provide the most advanced technologies. The company cooperates with the world's leading global and local companies. It signed a MoU, named TurkTech 2.0 with Huawei on 2nd March, at the GSMA Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain.

Within the scope of the cooperation, the 'Smart Tractor Systems` application was tested, one of the Agriculture 4.0 applications developed to increase the productivity of agriculture with the partner TARNET. In addition, an augmented reality game HADO, which allows two teams in different locations play by the help of 5G connection.

The companies will develop and test innovative 5G technologies

Within the scope of this cooperation, Türk Telekom and Huawei will share their strategic vision to develop 5G-ready networks and quality network applications. The companies will test the digital transformation technologies to support 5G services and improve the end-user experience. Also the zero-carbon strategy will be developed to ensure maximum energy gain from the fields.

Turkey Transport and Infrastructure Vice Minister Ömer Fatih Sayan, during the signing ceremony said: ``Many local member companies of Istanbul Chamber of Commerce joined MWC this year. One of them is Huawei Turkey, which has been celebrating its 20 years in Turkey. Huawei has been contributing to Turkey`s telecommunication infrastructure for 20 years. We wish those contributions continue with local and national production. One of the 19 Huawei R&D Center all around the world is located in Turkey, with more than 750 engineer working. Huawei has significant level of investment in its R&D Center in Turkey.``

Agricultural 4.0 Application "Autonomous Tractor" that will increase productivity in agriculture has been tested

Within the scope of TurkTech 2.0 agreement, the "Smart Tractor Systems" was implemented in cooperation with Türk Telekom, Huawei and TARNET. With this system, it is aimed to develop the local 5G industrial ecosystem in the field of smart agriculture (Agriculture 4.0) and to carry out applications in this field. Smart Tractor System aims to increase the efficiency and profitability of agricultural sites. While the tractor drives the field without a driver, more precise and accurate agricultural operations can be carried out with the support of the 5G network. By performing video analysis with the support of artificial intelligence, the farmer is informed instantly via the 5G connected mobile application when any abnormalities are detected on the tractor route.

HADO, the sport of the future has played over 5G

Türk Telekom and Huawei introduced HADO, the augmented reality techno-sports game known as one of the "Future Sports" within the scope of 5G applications and collaborations. HADO was developed with the innovation and support of Türkiye Teknospor A.Ş. With the help of augmented reality glasses and wearable sensors, the game can be played between teams in different physical locations over the 5G network. The HADO game is considered as a branch sport, which is the current digital version of the 'Dodgeball' game. The game was able to play as while teams were in different physical locations, with the low latency and high bandwidth features of 5G. Teams from different regions in different venues had the opportunity to play a match with each other without traveling and leaving their own venues.
