Huawei honors its enterprise partners and strengthens the organization
Zürich, 31 May 2016 – Huawei Switzerland celebrated the first Huawei Swiss Partner Conference in Zürich. Representatives of the most important enterprise partners participated at the event which took place at the Airfield in Dübendorf.
Huawei reports continuous growth in all three business areas:
1. The carrier business unit is the biggest and shows solid growth
2. The consumer business unit is growing fast and achieves the 3rd position in the Swiss smartphone market
3. The enterprise business unit is the newest and reports fast grows with partners.
Huawei Switzerland reiterated its commitment for 100% indirect business model in the enterprise business, with its partners.
The following five partners have been awarded for their special contribution to Huawei’s success:
- Absolut Distribution AG – Best Distributor Award
- Broadband Networks AG – Top Seller Award
- ITpoint Systems AG – Fastest Growing Partner Award
- Trigon AG – Best Newcomer Award
- Wey Elektronik AG – Best Technology Partner Award

Huawei further strengthened the organization which serves the enterprise customers and partners. Reflecting the growth of this unit, Kevin Liu is appointed as Director of the Swiss enterprise business unit, position that was previously managed as an add-on role by Felix Kamer, who remains Vice President of Sales & Marketing at Huawei Switzerland. Kevin Liu joined Huawei in 2009 and served last as Regional Vice President for Partners & Alliances.
To strengthen the partner landscape and ecosystem, Huawei recruited Daniel Bachofner to lead the Channel & Alliances team. Urs Würsch continues to be responsible for Distribution & Marketing.
