Following the local privilege escalation vulnerability (CVE-2026-31431) "Copy Fail" on Linux Kernel, Huawei has launched an immediate investigation. Successful exploitation of this vulnerability allows attackers to escalate the local privilege to root or perform container escape. The investigation is still ongoing, and Huawei PSIRT will update this security notice (SN) as new information emerges.
