This vulnerability can be exploited only when the following conditions are present:

An improperly-sized memory buffer is crafted.

Technical details:

Because the size of the communication buffer is not validated, SMRAM leaks and SMRAM memory corruption may occur. Malicious OS attackers can exploit this vulnerability to compromise the data structure stored at the beginning of SMRAM and may cause code execution in SMM.
