Security Advisory - Elevation of Privilege Vulnerability in Some Microsoft Windows Systems

Successfully exploited the vulnerability could execute code with elevated permissions.

The vulnerability classification has been performed by using the CVSSv3 scoring system (http://www.first.org/cvss/specification-document).

Base Score: 7.8 (AV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H)

Temporal Score: 7.2 (E:F/RL:O/RC:C)

This vulnerability can be exploited only when the following conditions are present:

1. Running the affected Windows operating system.

Vulnerability details:

Microsoft released a security advisory to disclose an elevation of privilege vulnerability which exists in the way that the Windows Kernel handles objects in memory. An attacker who successfully exploited the vulnerability could execute code with elevated permissions. To exploit the vulnerability, a locally authenticated attacker could run a specially crafted application.
