Security Advisory - Two Vulnerabilities in APPGallery of Huawei Smart Phones

There is a whitelist mechanism bypass vulnerability and an arbitrary Javascript running vulnerability in Huawei AppGallery. An attacker may set up a malicious network environment and trick user into accessing a malicious web page to bypass the whitelist mechanism, which make the malicious Javascript loaded and run in the smart phone. (Vulnerability ID: HWPSIRT-2018-04119 and HWPSIRT-2018-04120)

The two vulnerabilities have been assigned two CVE IDs: CVE-2018-7931 and CVE-2018-7932.
Huawei has released software updates to fix these vulnerabilities. This advisory is available at the following link:

This vulnerability can be exploited only when the following conditions are present:
Phone access to the malicious network created by attcker and the attcker tricked a user into accessing a malicious web page.
Vulnerability details:

There is a whitelist mechanism bypass vulnerability and an arbitrary Javascript running vulnerability in Huawei AppGallery. An attacker may set up a malicious network environment and trick user into accessing a malicious web page to bypass the whitelist mechanism, which make the malicious Javascript loaded and run in the smart phone.

System will receive a update prompt. User can install the update to fix the vulnerability.
