Huawei’s LampSite Libero Solution Wins Small Cell Forum 'Deployment of New Architectures Enabling the Dense HetNet' Award

[London, UK, May 29, 2018] At the 2018 Small Cell World Summit London, Huawei’s LampSite Libero solution has been presented with the ‘Deployment of New Architectures Enabling the Dense HetNet’ award by the Small Cell Forum in recognition of the solutions excellent wireless backhaul capability, flexible installation, and simplified deployment.

LampSite Libero is perfectly suited for indoor coverage in small and medium-sized scenarios. Its ‘Power on, Site on’ facility supports LTE-based wireless backhaul to allow for convenient, as-needed coverage and its broad application means that it has been used by various enterprises, including roadside restaurants, cafés, bars and small clinics.

LampSite Libero is a small BTS integrated with an LTE wireless self-backhaul solution for indoor scenarios. It enables fast deployment of LTE coverage for small and medium-sized indoor places and fulfills 4G data service demands. With LampSite Libero, LTE signals of macro base stations can be extended through wireless backhaul to indoor areas where macro based stations are difficult to reach, thereby solving the deep coverage problem in small and medium-sized indoor areas.

The LampSite Libero solution is applicable to indoor areas where wired backhaul is difficult or costly to obtain and fast LTE coverage is required. It also supports self-adjustment of radio backhaul parameters, allowing service priorities to be adjusted to deliver a better user experience. This solution has so far been deployed on a large scale by Vodafone Turkey as a mainstream approach to provide deep indoor coverage and premium network experience for users.
