Allen Cao named new CEO of Huawei in Switzerland

As the new CEO, Allen Cao will take the lead of the global technology provider’s Swiss subsidiary, which operates out of three locations: Liebefeld, Dübendorf, and Lausanne. The new head of Huawei Switzerland has long played a key role in shaping the company’s fortunes in Europe and South America as a senior executive, and he now succeeds Michael Yang as part of a normal management rotation.
The new CEO of Huawei Technologies Switzerland previously led various departments at Huawei, including serving as Director of Global Accounts for Deutsche Telekom and the Luxembourg-based telecommunications company Millicom, which operates primarily in South America.
Allen Cao joined Huawei in Beijing in 2005 as a development engineer. He then gradually rose through the ranks to become Sales Director and later Account Director. He holds a degree in Communication Engineering from Xi’an University.
Allen Cao is eager to take on his new role: “Huawei has been deeply rooted in Switzerland for 18 years and is closely connected with strong partners and customers. We value the open and innovative environment as well as the transparent dialogue with the authorities. With our proven and new smart technologies, we aim to contribute even more to the country’s digitalization, innovation, and sustainability in the future. We drive technological progress, promote energy efficiency, and thus create tangible benefits for people, companies, and institutions across a wide range of sectors.
