Huawei Delivers All-Scenario FusionSolar Smart PV Solution at IGEM 2019

[Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, 11 October, 2019] Huawei showcases all-scenario FusionSolar Smart PV Solution at 10th International Greentech & Eco Products Exhibition & Conference Malaysia 2019 (IGEM 2019), Malaysia’s largest exhibition and conference for green technologies and eco solutions. The highlights of the exhibition contains Huawei SUN2000-185KTL-H1 inverter, Smart I-V Curve Diagnosis 3.0 and the Intersolar award winner SUN2000-20KTL-M0 inverter.

SUN2000-185KTL-H1 – Digital FusionSolar for Optimal LCOE

The SUN2000-185KTL-H1 inverter integrates bifacial modules, trackers and smart DC system as a solution to promote yields and lower the LCOE (Levelized Cost of Electricity). String mismatch in bifacial system is heavier due to effects of weather and uneven ground. Multi-MPPTs is the key to reduce string mismatch, and promote yields by over 2%. Due to more complicated yield-influenced factors in bifacial system, Huawei FusionSolar Smart PV Solution can assist customer in design optimization, such as the real project in India for optimal LCOE, CAPEX reduce and grid stability promotion.

Smart I-V Curve Diagnosis 3.0 – Transfer O&M of Solar PV into AI Era

Smart I-V Curve Diagnosis have been applied over 5 GW worldwide to help customer elevating O&M efficiency. Online I-V curve scanning on all strings of 100 MW plant can be completed within 15 minutes. Through AI self-learning, the solution is accumulating I-V experience and optimizing fault models, transferring O&M of solar PV into AI era.

SUN2000-20KTL-M0 – Digital FusionSolar for Ultimate Safety & Better Experience

Another highlight during the exhibition is Huawei SUN2000-20KTL inverter for commercial solution. The product has the following innovative characteristics.

Ultimate Safety

DC arcing may occur in solar system, posing a danger to properties. AI powered AFCI to proactively mitigate fire risk. Inverter shutdown is within 2 seconds, which meets UL 1699B. Through self-learning new types of arcing for future higher safety, the inverter can accurately detect and confirm PV arcing with less false alarms.

Easier Installation

The inverter is weighted 25kg, extreme low weight with screw-less design for one person easy installation. Thanks to the advanced digital control algorithm, it contributes to smaller size of magnetics and cooling components.

Stable Performance

Modules will occur PID (Potential Induced Degradation) effects under hot & humid environment, which will greatly reduce module output performance. SUN2000-20KTL-M0 inverter’s PID recovery can reduce up to 70% module output loss and increase power yield by max. 1.59% in 6 months. It also supports auto recovering as set in APP.

On the first day of IGEM, YB Yeo Bee Yin, Minister of Energy, Science, Technology, Environment and Climate Change visited Huawei's booth and was impressed with the advanced technologies showcased and presented there. At the Awards Ceremony, YB Yeo Bee Yin presented Huawei with the Most Informative Booth Award.
