Huawei Malaysia Sets New Benchmarks with Its Huawei Mate50 Series Launch

[KUALA LUMPUR, 04 NOVEMBER 2022]: Huawei Technologies (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd (Huawei Malaysia), through its Consumer Business Group, unveiled its latest flagship smartphone, the next generation of the Mate series – the Huawei Mate50 Series, providing Malaysians the opportunity to avail themselves of the leading innovative and sophisticated technologies that Huawei has on hand.

The latest addition to the flagship series features the latest and powerful EMUI13 equipped with new features to provide users a ‘Super Device Experience’ with the goal of creating a seamless, productive and efficient user interface – while being a smartphone with an aesthetic and functional design that is flawless. It also comes with new features for a more user-friendly experience.

Huawei has also elegantly designed the Mate50 Series with the best-performing mobile camera imaging technology, the Ultra Aperture XMAGE Camera, through its four technical pillars: optical system, mechanical structure, imaging technology and imaging processing.

The new Mate50 Series also boasts a 4,700 mAh large capacity battery with 66W HUAWEI SuperCharge. This comes with a revolutionary low power emergency mode which allows users to have 12 minutes of talk time or more than 2 hours standby time with only 1% remaining battery life.

This feature will enable users to fully utilise the phone’s capabilities and strike a balance between battery life, fast charging, and portability.

The launch was officiated by the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Huawei Malaysia, Mr Michael Yuan. Also present was the Country Director of Huawei Consumer Business Group, Malaysia, Mr Victor Xu.

The CEO of Huawei Malaysia, Mr Michael Yuan, said the launch showcases Huawei’s technological ingenuity and product breakthroughs with the Mate50 Series, the tenth generation in its series.

“The Mate50 Series continues to innovate and be the pioneer in offering the best in technology and innovation to consumers. With its state of the art ‘Ultra Aperture XMAGE Camera’, exciting AppGallery, splash, water and dust resistant capabilities, as well as a more private and secure operating system, these are but a few of the advanced features you will witness today,” said Mr Yuan.

Country Director of Huawei Consumer Business Group Malaysia, Mr Victor Xu, added: “We are glad that we are not just launching the Huawei Mate50 Series. We are increasing the portfolio of super devices to Malaysian consumers with the Huawei Nova 10 Series; the Huawei Watch GT 3 SE and the Huawei MatePad Series. We will further improve our Super Device Scenario portfolio to enhance product efficiency and productivity.”

The Huawei Mate50 Series is available in three colours and variants – orange, silver and black while maintaining the classic space ring design with a delicate touch of the Clous de Paris pattern and Durable Kunlun Glass which provides 10 times the drop resistance. It comes with either 256GB, or 512GB storage.
