Huawei Malaysia Wins “Cyber Security Project of the Year” Award

[Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, September 26, 2019] Winning “Cyber Security Project of the Year” at the 11th Cyber Security Malaysia – Awards, Conference and Exhibition (CSM-ACE), Huawei announced today that it dedicates this astounding success to its employees. The awards is organized by Cyber Security Malaysia, the national cyber security specialist agency, endorsed by Ministry of Communications and Multimedia Malaysia, the Chief Government Security Office (CGSO) and the National Cyber Security Agency (NACSA), and supported by Malaysia Digital Economy Cooperation (MDEC) and Malaysian Aviation Commission.

This award is a recognition by Government of Malaysia of Huawei's achievement in 5G cyber security. Huawei ensures the security of carriers' 5G networks with secure products and trusted services, which are made possible through Huawei’s active membership of 3GPP's 5G Security Assurance Specification project. In addition to this, Huawei has also released a 5G Security Whitepaper, which describes global industry standards, Huawei's approaches, and joint efforts of industry partners.

The Malaysia Cyber Security Awards were created to honor individuals and organizations who contributed to Malaysia's cyber security or information security. The awards are conferred in recognition of their innovativeness, commitment, industry / product / service leadership, and sound business strategies. The Cyber Security Project of the year is conferred on the project that has shown exemplary performance in 2019 locally / globally on design of security framework, security initiatives, technology & innovation and project deliverables.
