Huawei Hosts the 6th Flagship Talent Event DigitALL Night in Paris with other European countries

[Paris, France, November 15th, 2023]

As part of HUAWEI CONNECT EUROPE 2023, DIGITALL NIGHT is a vibrant Talent Flagship Event specifically created for university students studying STEM and interested in ICT topics. The goal is to build awareness of the broad array of our technical innovations available to students and young talents.

This year, Huawei kicked off the 6th DigitALL Night event at the Paris Expo Porte de Versailles. Also, simultaneously Huawei Germany, Switzerland, Spain, Finland, Italy, Romania, Sweden, and Turkey have held this event locally. In Europe, around 1200 students were able to visit Huawei facilities, learn the latest ICT tech trends, explore digital talent opportunities and take part in local sharing sessions and workshops. In addition, more than several 1000’s of students joined DigitALL Night livestream.

DigitALL Night 2023 Welcome Speech: In Europe, for Europe

The event started with Jimmy Tian, Vice President of Huawei European Region Human Resource Department, welcoming the students from various countries. He spoke about the challenges and opportunities we face in this era, how digital talent is key to achieving Huawei’s goals and how Huawei contributes to the development of 13000 new talent in Europe: “At Huawei, we provide young talents with the support to realize their potential to become the best version of themselves and become successful future leaders”.

One of the main topics of the whole event was green energy and sustainability. Jimmy Tian also shared how Huawei has contributed to the global and European market: “By the end of 2022, Huawei had helped Europe reduce 102 million tons of carbon emissions as part of our efforts to help Europe achieve carbon neutrality”.

Tech Keynote: Emerging Trends in Network AI

The event continued with a tech keynote speech on Emerging Trends in Network AI, Dario Rossi, Director of Paris Research Center DataCom Department, Director of Network Product & Solutions AI4NET Lab. Dario showed an insightful overview of AI portfolio, explained how machine learning and artificial intelligence assist Network and solve hard networking problems.

As a major player in Europe's digital transformation, Huawei contributes to building the digital infrastructure that will support the future of the European economy by investing in R&D of new innovative technologies, such as AI-based energy management systems.

A reliable partner in Europe's green and digital transition

Another inspiring Keynote speech on the Green topic “Could Solar Energy be the 21st Century Oil?” was given by Xavier Daval, CEO of KiloWattsol and the President of the SER Solar Commission. Due to the real challenges we are facing in this century, he showed us the importance of renewable energy solar and how building a green and digital world and could be the solution for this planet and our future.

Huawei is committed to help Europe achieve its green goals by developing and deploying energy-efficient ICT solutions. - “At Huawei, we are committed to making the world a better place. We will achieve this by providing innovative technologies that support green development, environmental protection, and digital inclusion - This is the goal of our sustainability strategy”.

Talent Keynote: Future Talent for a Sustainable World

Lesley White, Deputy VP HR from Huawei Europe, inspired the students with a Talent Keynote speech about the company's core values, as well as the career opportunities and skills enhancement programs for young talent in Europe.

The event continued with the ‘Young Talents Talk’ with Ali Gözüm, team leader of Innovation Track winning team of global ‘Tech4All 2023’ Award. Ali shared his amazing journey of joining ICT Academy Programme and his project for which the team developed a humanoid robotic arm using Huawei technologies.

To encourage new students and the future talent of Huawei, young employees of the company shared their personal experiences and journey in Huawei as a Graduate – My Journey at Huawei, concluding another edition of this successful event.
