Australia Showcases Consumer Product Range at Westfield

[Sydney, AUSTRALIA, 05 February 2015]: Huawei Australia today announced the unveiling of the Huawei Experiential Zones at key Westfield shopping centres around Sydney, showcasing its consumer product range in one location for the first time.

Continuing the momentum of its brand profiling globally and recent outdoor advertising campaign across Australia, the Huawei Experiential Zones offer Westfield customers the opportunity to explore the latest in mobile and mobile broadband technology.

The Huawei Experiential Zones showcase the newly released Huawei Mate 7 with its impressive 6” full high definition screen. Huawei is breaking new ground worldwide with its dedication to great-value premium consumer devices in mobile and mobile broadband.

The Huawei Experiential Zone staff will demonstrate why Huawei is a leading consumer device company in Australia and growing fast. The Huawei Experiential Zones are located in prime locations of the following Westfields:

Chatswood Westfield

Parramatta Westfield

Bondi Westfield (launch Saturday, February 7)

Sydney City Westfield (from February 9)

Miranda Westfield (from March 16).

An official launch will be held this weekend (February 7,8) in Westfield Chatswood and Westfield Bondi. To recognize the launch, Huawei ‘keys’ will be given to Westfield customers to access the Huawei Vault containing five Huawei Mate7 devices - five to be won each day at each location.

Southern Cross University (SCU) and Huawei Australia today announced a partnership which will deliver a suite of scholarships for SCU students and opportunities for Huawei internships.

Under the University’s Rising Stars Scholarship program, Huawei will fund three annual scholarships totaling $45,000 over three years to be awarded commencing early 2015.

This partnership builds on an already successful relationship between SCU and Huawei Australia. Last year, two SCU students took part in a three-week exchange with Huawei. SCU and Huawei Australia have also recently signed a Smart Campus technology partnership which will enable a major overhaul of the University’s communications and campus security systems.
