Huawei's Peter Zhou Announced as Guest Speaker at 5G Realised

[London, April 8th, 2019] Peter Zhou, Huawei’s Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) for Wireless Solutions, has been confirmed as one of the speakers at the forthcoming 5G Realised Summit, taking place at the Congress Centre in London on 10 – 11 April.

Peter will speak on the potential of Cloud X, which covers everything from Cloud PC and Cloud Gaming to Cloud AR/VR. He will discuss the value these applications will offer to operators and the possible applications of Huawei’s own 5G Cloud VR service and the role it will play in not only providing direct commercial services for industry users but also its integrated capabilities for developers. He will also delve into the roles simplification and openness will play within 5G.

Peter Zhou said, “5G Realised is a great opportunity to give both operators and vendors a much broader and in-depth view of the world of 5G. This is very exciting, as we continue to see further advanced use cases in the application of 5G, it is imperative that we continue to learn from and build on these as 5G is the future.”

Huawei was the first company in the industry to launch commercial 5G chipsets and devices, and has worked with the industry to drive 5G maturity and commercialization; whilst still maintaining absolute leadership in 5G solutions via ongoing investment in R&D. So far, the company has signed over 30 commercial 5G contracts with operators around the world, and shipped over 40,000 5G base stations.

5G Realised, will examine cases for 5G across different industry vertical segments, including tourism, automotive, FSI, and transport and has been designed to bring together industry leaders to explore real applications for 5G and how to realise them. It will build upon the 5G infrastructure core and will feature several workshops led by industry experts from the respective verticals to further investigate and demonstrate the use cases in each vertical.

Paul Scanlan, Chief Technology Officer for Huawei’s Carrier Network Business Group will be taking part in a panel discussion on day 2 of the 5G Realised forum.

5G Realised will be taking place at the Congress Centre, 28 Great Russell Street, London WC1B 3LS from the 10 – 11 April.
