Huawei DigitALL Night: A Vibrant Talent Flagship Event, the Future of Tech is You
[Paris, France, November 14, 2024] As part of HUAWEI CONNECT EUROPE 2024, one of the most important Huawei talent events in Europe, DigitALL Night is specifically held for university students and young talent studying STEM and interested in ICT topics. Through this event, we aim to build awareness of the broad array of our technical innovations and career opportunities available to young talent in Europe.
This is the seventh year Huawei kicked off the DigitALL Night event at the Paris Expo Porte de Versailles. Along with the other 12 countries, Austria, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Poland, Romania, Spain, Switzerland, Sweden, Serbia, Turkey, and Ukraine held the DigitALL Night sub-venue locally. More than 500 students attended the event's main venue in Paris. Nearly 300,000 people watched the event live-stream.

Huawei in Europe: Embracing Talent
The event started with the opening speech of Enshuo LIU, President of Huawei France. He warmly welcomed students from all participating countries at the main venue in Paris.
He said, “We believe that the key to unlocking the future digital world is our talents who continuously dare to push the limits with driving ambition and passion. Huawei values all ICT talents in Europe and we strongly and continuously invest in the use and development of local talents all over Europe.”. In his opening remarks Huawei’s open, positive attitude to embrace ICT talents.
One point was made abundantly clear in his speech: Along with all outstanding talents, Huawei remains committed to creating a fully connected, intelligent world.

Tech Keynote: building a green sustainable world with AI
As a leading global provider of ICT infrastructure and smart devices, Huawei is committed to protecting biodiversity and the natural environment through scientific and technological innovation.
During the tech keynote, Vegard Kjenner, CTO of Huawei Norway, presented the Atlantic salmon protection project. He introduced how Huawei protects biodiversity by using artificial intelligence. The project is the world’s first intelligent AI-based salmon filtering system deployed in a natural river system that has successfully captured unwanted species.

The event continued with another tech keynote speech on preventing catastrophic forest fires. Panagiotis Apostolopoulos, Co-founder and COO of Drops Smart Hubs, presented the Greek forest protection project. In Greece, Huawei works with network carrier Nova-Wind and Solutions provider PROBOTEK. Together, they have deployed an integrated technology that utilizes AI and drones to analyze images in real time to detect early signs of fire so that first responders can be alerted before it’s too late.

Talent Keynote: Future Talent for a Sustainable World
“Huawei’s approach to human resources is defined by three words: Positive, open, and diverse. We welcome talent from all over the world.” Lesley White, Vice President of European Human Resource, Huawei, delivered an inspiring Talent keynote speech at the event. In the speech, Lesley introduced the company’s core values, career opportunities as well as the talent concept of Huawei in Europe.
She noted. “Huawei is continuously searching for talents, talents with Ambition, Commitment, and Insight. Past success is not an indicator of the future. For Huawei to continue to grow, we need to keep learning, exploring, and embracing talent from all over the world.”.

Panel Talk: Shape Your Future with Huawei
During the event's closing session, Hubert Wu, Safa Hammami, and Nicolas Olivieri, who joined Huawei as fresh graduates, shared their career journey at Huawei with the students on-site.
