Security Advisory - Three Out of Bounds Vulnerabilities in Several Smartphones

There are three out of bounds vulnerabilities in several smartphones. Certain driver program does not sufficiently validate certain parameters received, that would lead to several bytes out of bound read. Successful exploit may cause information disclosure or service abnormal. (Vulnerability ID: HWPSIRT-2019-02255, HWPSIRT-2019-03101 and HWPSIRT-2019-03103)

The three vulnerabilities have been assigned three Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVE) IDs: CVE-2020-1804, CVE-2020-1805 and CVE-2020-1806.

This vulnerability can be exploited only when the following conditions are present:

The attacker tricks the user into installing a crafted application.

Vulnerability details:

Certain driver program does not sufficiently validate certain parameters received, that would lead to several bytes out of bound read. Successful exploit may cause information disclosure or service abnormal. 


The devices that support automatic update will receive a system update prompt. You can install the update to fix the vulnerability.
