In an interview given last year, Mr. Ding indicated that Chinese investment in 4G felt were most important to him in 2012, "this year there is not only the Chinese market, the European market will also very important, there will be many opportunities for Huawei, "Has he said.

"With the economic recovery in 2014, consumption data will increase dramatically in Europe. We have found that many operators are ready to accelerate the development of their 4G network," he explains.

"We expect to have good opportunities in China," he adds, because "after licensing 4G end of 2013 in China, all Chinese operators also want to accelerate the development of their 4G network."

Huawei is also "some African countries and the Middle East have also distributed 4G licenses in 2013."

Mr. Ding has ensured that Europe was commercially important but it was also for its "capacity for innovation".

"Europe has the best mobile capacity around the world, which is why the executive committee has decided to augementer investment in Europe and especially in research and development," he said.

Huawei, founded by a former Chinese army engineer, was denied access to infrastructure projects in the United States and Australia for security reasons, which makes Europe a very market important for the OEM.
